Paul Boxrud came to Olis from Vanderbilt University where he was a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Bock. Paul received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry under Dr. Lawrence Berliner. Originally from Wisconsin, Paul received a B.S. degree in chemistry from Carroll University in Waukesha. Paul currently resides in Hartford, Wisconsin and telecommutes to Athens. Paul takes much grief from his colleagues in Georgia regarding his preference for Wisconsin weather, but really missed Wisconsin during his time in the South.

Paul accepted the new role of product manager for Olis, Inc. in 2009. This entails keeping Olis on the cutting edge of spectroscopy instrumentation and software as well as occasional installation and training visits. He loves his job because it allows him to learn and help develop the technology behind spectroscopic instrumentation as well as learn about the interesting science that our clients are doing with it.

Paul and his wife Diane enjoy spending time with their children Matthew and Abby. Their other hobbies include hiking, camping, reading and cross-country skiing (not at the same time!). They love to spend time in northern Wisconsin and frequently visit the family cottage on one of the many beautiful lakes in the area. Paul is also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and is currently number 13,219 on the season ticket waiting list. This means only about 30 more years to wait!
