Rich Hantus has worked side by side with "the chief" (Dick DeSa) since July of 1985, "turning a bit of scratches on notepaper into functioning instruments" (Dick's words). The masterful precision line-up of every hardware component of all Olis products started with Rich at the CAD program and extends to the electronics and the machine shop. He left for a brief period and worked for Douglas Machines during which he remained employed by Olis as a subcontractor. He returned to Olis full time on December 1, 1997. Rich is married and he and his wife Katrina have two children, April and Matthew. Rich's favorite saying is, "If you enjoy what you do, you will never work a day in your life.

Rich states that he has a wide range of musical interest, depending on his mood and audience. He enjoys riding motorcycles. He is very proud of his humming bird feeders and his 50+ gallon fish tank. He spends a lot of time in his shop at home equipped for wood working and electrical working.

In February, 2003, Rich became a grandfather! James William Thornton was born happy and healthy to Rich's daughter April and her husband Chuck Thornton.
