A Closer Look...
The standard 1 cm2 jacketed cuvette holder for the Olis DM 45 line is used in the sample compartment box dimensioned for the Olis USA stopped-flow and both Quantum NorthWest Cells (this page). The Olis jacketed cell holder removes easily; two Allen bolts hold it in position. A magnetic stir block can be added. Microvolume cuvettes fit snugly against a spring activated spacer.
Our four position cell holder is suitable for use in both fluorescence and absorbance work. The diagonal geometry four jacketed cells are open on four sides. Temperature control is achieved with the Julabo™ digital bath or another source of circulating fluid. A jacketed reference cell is included for use in dual beam absorbance or ratio fluorescence work; the beam splitter is removable. Magnetic stir blocks scan be added. Microvolume cuvettes fit snuggly against a spring activated spacer Stepping motor movement under computer control guarantees near perfect reproducibility of positioning, such that microvolume cuvettes can be used with confidence.
The Quantum Northwest TURRET 450 holds up to four 1 cm2 cuvettes, standard or microvolume; the cells are open on three sides with ports 10 mm x 12 mm. Thermoelectric temperature control from -20șC to +100șC, extendible to +200șC, with ±0.02șC precision. Magnetic stirring is standard on all four cuvettes. Dry gas purges are provided for temperature equilibration, to limit condensation at low temperatures, and to provide an anaerobic environment.
