DM 45 Spectrofluorimeter

The Olis DM 45 scanning spectrofluorimeter is a compact and modular fluorescence instrument introduced in 2000. Standard detection is achieved with a highest sensitivity photon counting module, with useful spectral ranges of 210-650 nm or 300-850 nm. Optional detection hardware can be highest speed photomultiplier tubes (180-800 nm) or NIR optimized InGaAs detectors (choose models to 1700 nm or 2600 nm).

The two Olis single grating monochromators have accessible gratings for easy optimization of the hardware for different spectral ranges, from the far UV (>180 nm) to the NIR (<2600 nm). The standard model is optimized for UV/Vis. Emission, excitation, and synchronous scanning are supported.

Both monochromators can be fitted with filters or polarizers. Scan rates to 200 nm per second are possible. Scan speed and signal averaging are under Olis computer control.

The standard excitation source is a 75 watt xenon arc lamp is housed in a reflective housing for highest excitation illumination, with high precision regulated power supply for highly reliable lamp starting, ultra low ripple, and high precision current regulation. A 150 watt Xenon arc can be substituted and is recommended for the kinetic-optimized Olis DM 45K, as is appropriate for stopped-flow and other fast reaction studies.

The Olis SpectralWorks™ package provides easy to learn, useful, and application appropriate facilities for 2D and 3D data presentation and analysis. All accessories for the instrument, including the Automatic Titration Accessory, Four Position Cell Holders, Automatic Enzyme Assay Device, Stopped-Flow, or Polarization Toolbox can be supported through this comprehensive data acquisition/ instrument control program. Within Olis SpectralWorks is bound Olis GlobalWorks, our software for 2D data processing (e.g.. peak finder, spectral deconvolution, integration) and 3D data processing (e.g., 3D analysis of kinetic and equilbrium scans). The Olis Robust Global Fitting algorithms give a huge competitive edge in understanding kinetic and equilibrium data acquired as a function of time, temperature, pressure, concentration, or other process. Data storage and retrieval, including import/export capabilities, are provided for dealing with OLIS and non-OLIS acquired data.
